Forensic Addictions Counselor
(FAC)
 

   
   

Qualifications

   
    - Must hold current addiction professional certification or license
- 1 year (2,000 hours) experience as a counselor in a forensic-treatment setting (may be included within general experience)
- 2 years (4,000 hours) general clinical experience
 
   
   

Complete FCE Course

   
    - Complete the 40-hour on-line Forensic Counselor Education (FCE) Course related specifically to addiction counseling in a forensic treatment setting
 
   
   

"Testing-in" Option

   
    - If you have 2 or more years experience in a forensic setting, OR
- If you hold the Forensic Addictions Corrections Treatment (FACT) certification from CCARTA / FACT,
- You may "test-in" by passing the on-line FAC multiple-choice exam
 
   
   

Fees

   
    If you complete the FCE Course:
- NO APPLICATION FEE

If you are "testing-in":
- $76 Application fee
- $79 On-line FAC multiple-choice exam
